Maria is a seasoned healthcare professional with over a decade of diverse experience in the industry and is known for her fearlessness and bold approach to tackling complex healthcare challenges.
With a background ranging from direct patient care in ophthalmology to executive leadership in information technology, she brings a unique perspective to her work. Maria's expertise lies in patient-centered initiatives aimed at developing effective population health management through fostering collaboration between healthcare providers within communities, facilitating care coordination between health systems and government entities, and integrating innovations into clinical practices.
She is passionate about identifying and driving transformative endeavors that address critical industry challenges. Her primary focus is on social determinants of health, access to care, patient health literacy, and developing integrated continuum of care models.
In her free time, Maria teaches ballroom dancing to adults and children. She has witnessed dance help people overcome depression and regain the ability to walk after an auto accidents. She believes that dance is a universal language that knows no borders.
